Death is coming for us all and we must face it alone.
There’s no escaping, none of us are getting out of here alive.
When we lose people close to us, we experience all kinds of emotions.
Grief, anger, regret and shock, just to name a few.
I have seen people go off the rails because losing their parents has been too much to bear.
I am not going to sit here and tell people how to deal with their loss, we all deal with things differently for various reasons, we can’t comment until we have walked a mile in their shoes.
What I would like to do is talk about how you can make them proud instead of losing control, because that’s not what they would want.
Honour them because they would live a different life if they had a second chance.
They wouldn’t live with regret or sweat over the small things, and they wouldn’t waste time on meaningless distractions or waste another day living life through the expectations of other people.
When we lose loved ones, it’s hard to accept that we are never going to see them again.
They’re not coming back.
No matter what we do, nothing will ever change that.
Sometimes there’s a lot of regret about the things we did or didn’t say or the things we did or didn’t do.
I am sure we have all felt that in some way.
We often live with a little regret, but we can’t dwell on it and let it consume us.
I get it, it’s easy to do which is why I can understand why people lose their shit and hit the drugs and alcohol but it’s not the solution.
The solution is to live your life in honour of them, live up to your true and fullest potential as a man in modern day society because that’s what they would do if they had a second chance at life and that’s exactly what they would be telling you to do.
You have to channel those emotions into something positive which will make them proud instead of dwelling on the past and things you cannot change.
Total acceptance is the way, another form of intense realism.
Seeing things as they are, not as we wished they were.
Creating and building something, accomplishment, is one way I deal with my own demons.
It’s not that I am trying to forget, I am trying to be a better man every day in honour of the biological father I’ve never met, my stepfather that I recently lost to cancer and my good friend from school who died suddenly in 2023.
I want these people to be proud of me which is why I live in honour of them.
If I met my biological father, I would want him to be proud of me and my accomplishments.
I wouldn’t want him to be disappointed in what he saw, I’d be a real let down if that was the case.
When I stand before God, I want my bloodline and my ancestors to be proud of the legacy I left behind and the man that I was.
It’s my job to make sure that all generational curses stop with me so it’s my responsibility to make sure that happens so that I can live up to my true and fullest potential
It’s your job to live up to your true and fullest potential so that you break all generational curses because no one will do it for you.
Saving yourself is your job because everyone else is too busy saving themselves
You are strong enough to make your ancestors proud, you are the man your bloodline has been waiting for so honour them every day by being mission driven, living with definiteness of purpose being guided by your own code of living.
Live like you’re running out of tomorrows, because you are.
I hope you find this of value, my brothers!
Keep winning!
